Rufus is approximately 2 years old and recently came into our care after being handed in to the pound as a stray and no one came forward to claim him.
Rufus was extremely thin at just 26kg with overgrown nails and a matted coat.
He’s put some weight on, had a nail trim and is slowly having his matts cut and brushed away. He is looking and feeling much better.
Rufus is now starting the search for his forever family. He’s a lovely friendly lad and thrives on attention and wants to please. He walks well on the lead and really enjoys being out and about at kennels.
He has a lot to say for himself and will chatter along to you like he’s known you all his life! He will vocally protest if you don’t give him the treat or if you are hanging around on the walk. He definitely has loads of personality and a cheeky side to him. We feel he would like his new family to be around most of the time until he has settled as he is very vocal and may have a howl!
Rufus may be able to live with a gentle natured spayed female after a successful introduction. As we have no history he wont be placed with children under 12 years of age.
