Zeus recently came into our care as part of the large hoarding case relinquished to 8 Below.

What on Earth can we say about this chappie?

Zeus is 7 and he’s adorable! Look at that cheeky smile. The smile that makes you smile as soon as you look at him. The smile that brightens your day as soon as you look at him. And, the smile that hides a sad past.

Zeus lived in a children’s play shed, staring out the windows waiting for someone to take notice of him 😢😢

We notice him and we love him…..loads!

Zeus is a very friendly boy with a real zest for life. He loves people and enjoys a good fuss and head scratch. He walks reasonably well  considering how few walks he’s had in the past. He is totally in awe of everything around him.

He had previously lived with a female Akita so could live with a nice natured very patient female dog again after a successful introduction.

He’s still a little underweight so is having more food more often to help slowly bring it up to where it should be . He loves treats and can be a little cheeky when he knows you’ve got them. He will jump up to take them so has to be reminded to keep his feet firmly on the floor. He’s very gentle when taking them even though his whole mouth covers your fingers. As he is so keen to please and has a real love of treats, this will make for great training sessions so scent work or something similar would be enjoyable for him and help him bond with his handler.

Zeus could live with dog savvy children aged 12 and over. No cats or small furries please.
