🐾 Meet Chiko – A Handsome 3-Year-Old Akita Looking for a New Home

🐾 This stunning boy is Chiko, a 3-year-old intact male Akita with a big heart and a whole lot of love to give. Sadly, his current owner is looking to rehome him as he’s just too strong to manage on walks — a tough decision that’s been made with his best interest at heart.

✨ About Chiko:Health: He’s a healthy weight, with clean ears and teeth, trimmed nails, and bright, alert eyes.Coat: He’s “blowing his coat” at the moment (typical Akita style!), so he’ll need regular brushing to stay looking his best.He has lived with older children and is used to younger children visiting, so can be rehome with children over 10 YO.

🧠 Chiko’s Personality:Friendly and affectionate – he loves people and greets with enthusiastic excitement. He quickly settles and enjoys leaning on you for affection.

Food & Treats: Takes treats gently and will even leave some behind.

Toys: Loves them! Takes and drops them gently

Basic Commands: Knows sit, lay, paw and recall (though can be a bit stubborn at times 😉). Again true Akita style!

🐾 Walks & Socials:Strong on the lead – pulls on the collar, so will need someone experienced or willing to work on training.

Other animals: Lives with a cat but rarely interacts; not interested in other dogs or people on walks. Barks at birds out of curiosity, and will chase from time to time.

🚫 Important: As Chiko is not neutered, he cannot live with unspayed female.

🏡 Ideal Home:Chiko would thrive in a home with experience of large breeds. He needs someone confident and physically capable for walks, and who can give him the affection and grooming he deserves. A secure garden would be a bonus for this big lad to burn off energy!
